View as HTML in Gmail
Monday, December 12th 2005 | Ismael Ghalimi
In its quest to remove the need for an office productivity suite on the client, Gmail added a significant feature recently: all Microsoft Office email attachments can now be viewed as HTML pages within the web browser, as opposed to being downloaded on the client and opened with the appropriate Microsoft Office application. The HTML transcoding is not perfect yet, but most of the content is preserved. So far, it seems to be working just fine.

I can’t be bothered with anything these days, but shrug. I just don’t have anything to say recently. I haven’t gotten much done recently. Nothing seems worth thinking about.
