Mobile Blogging
Saturday, February 18th 2006 | Ismael Ghalimi
This is my first post published with the BlackBerry 8700. All the functionality offered by WordPress seems to be working. Next step? I’ll make today’s post on my personal blog from my friend’s Nokia 770.

Ismael — looks like it took a couple of attempts…
Ismael,
By the way, BlackBerry and other mobile data services were derived from Ericssion’s Mobitex spec, which Ericsson released as open standard few years back. In the late 80’s, there was only one mobile data modem over the cellular telephone network, by Ericsson, which transferred data in duplex mode at 300 bps over an analog cellular network. Couple of attempts to transmit data successfully is at least an order of magnitude in improvement as compared to the frequent dropped-calls over an analog cellular network!
Ric, Francis,
Believe it or not, the problem was not related to the use of a mobile device. I wanted to change the post’s title later on, and WordPress does not like it very much, at least with the version currently provided by Yahoo! Sorry for the multiple feeds.
