The 8800 does look good, and I am all for bigger screens, but it will be hard to convince me to give up my Pearl with its camera, and more importantly, the speaker independent voice dial from Voice Signal Technologies. I use it with a Tekkeon EZ Mini Bluetooth headset, and I just love it!
I also loaded the Opera Mini browser and the SoonR software so I can access my desktop files and make Skype calls without needing WiFi. Heaven! Until 3G shows up, then we’ll rethink.
Ryan,
I agree, the Pearl totally works. But the GPS on the 8800 is very tempting…
Best regards

Ismael,
I checked the website link and I stand corrected. The 8800 actually has voice activated dialing and everything else the Pearl has—except the camera—and it’s supposed to be the thinnest BlackBerry yet. Add a full QWERTY keyboard and GPS on top of that, and you’re right, it is pretty tempting!
Being in charge of communication costs in my company, I hope it will not be 3G before roaming costs drastically improved. Corporations do need a BlackBerry that stays cost effective, but has a better screen, power consumption… and I think the 8800 is targeting this segment. Next dream will be to have Wi-Fi with it so that you can Skype without the huge roaming costs linked with 3G/Edge.

Olivier,
The BlackBerry 8820 will have Wi-Fi built in.
