I know! I tried to explain that to the Lombardi folks, telling them that their yet-to-be-released Blueprint does not bring anything new to the mix of tools that have been available to business analysts for years...

Best regards

Just as a minor note, you can run ARIS in a browser. The browser just needs a Java plugin. Ok, I know, this is not AJAX, but it still works, and the end-user hasn't to install any client applications.

[...] Last month, two BPM vendors announced BPM as Service offering. First, Lombardi announced its hosted modeling offering, Lombardi Blueprint, which Bruce Silver covered here. Then, Appian announced a hosted version of its product, which again Bruce covered here. While these initiatives towards BPM as a Service are both welcome and inevitable, I doubt the true value of either. In fact, I find myself agreeing with Ismael’s blog Who Needs BPM as a Service on multiple counts. [...]

[...] Ismael has some comments on the recent announcement of web-based Business Process Modeling tools.
