Think Not So Different

If we are to believe Apple Insider, Apple might be working on a device strikingly similar to what we are up to with the Redux Model 1. If that were to be true, it would be a fantastic validation for the form factor we are proposing. Borrowing from some original artwork designed by audiopollution (I hope they don’t mind), here is a first artist rendition of what the Redux Model 1 might look like.
And here is how it might be different from Apple’s rumored device:
- Larger form factor (8.5" x 6.5" vs. 6.75" x 3.6")
- Higher-resolution screen (1024 x 768 vs. 720 x 480)
- Built-in Quad-Band GSM/GPRS capabilities
- Built-in Assisted GPS
- SD Card slot
- Open Source software stack
Of course, all this is pure speculation at this point…

I think a really good thing would be the ability to change anything. Like installing your own operating system, such as Linux on a separate partition.
