I crossed the 200,000 qualifying miles for the year two days ago, and still have almost a quarter to make it to 250,000 before the year ends. It’s equivalent to ten times the Earth’s circumference (24,899 miles at the equator). What this means is that I spend an insane amount of time in planes, and visit quite a few places throughout the year. Unfortunately, I do not get to stay very long at any one location, for my trips are usually scheduled to last less than three days in order to minimize the impact of jet lag on my aging body. In order to make it easier for you to meet me whenever I happen to be visiting your area, I have added a Meet Me There section on this blog’s right column, and will announce my upcoming trips through regular posts. Here are the ones that have been scheduled for the rest of the year.

November 11: London, UK
We will be visiting some customers and partners there, and will organize a cocktail presentation of Intalio in the evening. The event will take place in downtown London, in a location yet to be defined. If you’d like to share a pint with me, drop me a line.

November 12: Berlin, DE
Berlin will be my next and last stop before flying back home. We will be visiting some customers and partners in the morning, and have an informal gathering in the afternoon. Germany is one of the countries where we will focus our efforts in the coming 12 months, and we’re currently working on a German version of our product. If you’d like to learn more about it and share a bier or two (Hefeweizen for me), feel free to join us.

November 13: Paris, FR
We will be meeting with the Capgemini team there, and learn more about how they are using Intalio to help companies migrate from IBM Lotus Notes to Google Apps (cool stuff). We will also organize a cocktail there, and good wine will be de rigueur.

November 18: New York, NY
We will be in New York for a customer visit in the afternoon of the 18th, followed by a cocktail in the evening. New York is the cosmopolitan city by excellence, and we’re all about COSMO these days, so it will be vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously shaken with ice for me.

December: Asia
Arnaud and I are working on a small Asian tour to wrap the year up. Destinations will include Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, with cocktails in both locations. Additional stops might be added if we manage to find a way to coordinate our busy schedules.
